Shall do! :D
1: Think of the last person who said I love you, do you think they meant it?
I really think she did! And not just that, but I believe she really thought about what it meant to say it. Not many people do.
4: Would you ever smile at a stranger?
I do, quite a lot. I see so many people going around with grumpy expressions, but when I smile at then (not tell them to cheer up, or compliment them, or bother them, just smile), the most common reaction is for them to smile as well. I think that’s worth it.
6: Have you heard a song that reminds you of someone today?
Yup, The Ink Spots “I Don’t Want To Set The World On Fire”! Wonderful song.
10: Do you think your life will change dramatically before 2015?
I hope so. Because right now I’m flat broke, only technically employed, and stuck in a college course I don’t want to do anymore because it’s changed so completely and run worse than a 400 meter dash for one-legged, concussed tortoises.
11: Are you a social or an antisocial person?
It’s hard to say. I’m introverted, but not heavily so. I could live alone happily, but only if I could go out and see people on most days. The more people I see though, the more I need to retreat, so I definitely need my own space. I can’t handle crowds for any length of time unless I’m completely distracted from them and no-one shoving me. Overall I’m social, but I definitely need my alone time.
16: Are you going out of town soon?
Gods yes! I’m saving up my pennies so I can go to Galway in January. It doesn’t cost that much when I’m staying in a friends house, but considering how little I have, I need to save as much as I can so we can get more thoroughly hammered than a recurring enemy of Thor.
24: What are you sitting on right now?
My seat of power! A downright dilapidated leather swivel chair that I’ve had in my room for several years. Looking at this question slightly differently though, I could’ve just said “my ass”.
26: Have you ever wanted someone you couldn’t have?
Fuck, I do that every day! Lusting after the unavailable is practically how I communicate these days.
33: Do you want your tongue pierced?
I kinda do, but it’s mostly because I saw a vibrating tongue bar and I’m obsessed with the kind of head I could give with that. But tongue piercings can damage your teeth, and I’ve been through so many years of expensive dentistry that it’d be a bit of a slap in the face for my folks if I went through with it :/
47: Do you replay things that have happened in your head?
All the time. I spend so much of my average day wondering what I could have done differently in past situations that would’ve made things go better for everyone involved. I tend to just make myself upset though.
52: Are you nice to everyone?
I try to be, but some people make it very hard. I certainly try not to hold grudges. They say time heals all wounds. That’s pretty vague, but I suppose “distance and perspective will help you rationalise events to the point where you will be able to deal with them properly” isn’t as pithy.
61: How’s your heart?
Mistrustful. It’s been wounded an awful lot, and it takes some serious digging before I can get attached to people. But the few that do manage to dig that deep tend to stay there. Thankfully, more of a “digging for gold” situation, and less “Mines of Moria”.
70: How do you look right now?
Seeing as I’m on the upswing of whatever the mood ocean is up to in my head, I think I’m looking pretty good! In need of a shave, and perhaps I could lose a little weight, but ok in all!
74: Have you ever felt replaced?
Oh yes, an awful lot. And it sucks when you just don’t talk as much with that person anymore. It happens in so many little ways. Missed calls, they forget to respond to texts or messages, you don’t hang out as much. I don’t know what’s worse, the gradual slipping sensation as you lose them inch by inch, or the uprooting, where you lose them all in one go.
83: Do you think the person you have feelings for is protective of you?
I think they are, to an extent. They know I can take care of myself though, so they don’t have to coddle me. But I can see them stepping in if they feel the need.
102: Has anybody ever given you butterflies?
Oh yes. And what’s a bit odd is that they did it by saying the word “Pomegranates”. Don’t ask.
